PepsiCo India has recently appointed Jagrut Kotecha as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India, succeeding Ahmed El Sheikh. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an MBA in Marketing from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Kotecha brings over three decades of experience to his new role.

Currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for PepsiCo in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia (AMESA), Kotecha has been part of the PepsiCo family for 30 years. In his previous role, he played a key role in driving growth in the Indian market and reinforcing PepsiCo's position as an industry leader.

Expressing his excitement about the new role, Kotecha highlighted PepsiCo India's commitment to excellence and innovation. He stated, "As I take on this new responsibility, I am excited to drive forward our mission, ensuring continued success and growth in the Indian market."

  2. 2. Worked at Cadbury India for two years before joining PepsiCo in 1994.


  3. 3. Started with PepsiCo in 1994 in the sales and marketing team in India. Advanced through various roles, including regional sales manager and marketing manager for Western Snack until 1999.


  4. 4. Worked in various locations globally, including Thailand, ASPACD, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei/Pacific, and Mongolia. Has held key positions in India and globally since 2011, culminating in his current role as Senior Vice President Chief Commercial Officer for AMESA since January 2020.


  5. 5. Set to succeed Ahmed El Sheikh as CEO for PepsiCo India, who will be taking over as the CEO for the Middle East Business Unit in March, concluding his seven-year tenure in India.
